Portugal international forward Cristiano Ronaldo's goal in the FIFA World Cup group-stage match against Morocco in Russia means he has scored one more international goal than Ferenc Puskás did in his glittering career.
The winger-turned-striker who plied his trade at club level for Real Madrid CF last season will play for Juventus in Italy in the 2018/2019 season, struck in the fourth minute of the match to move to 85 international goals.

Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in Portugal's opening match of the campaign, the 3-3 draw with Spain, to draw level with Puskás' mark of 84 goals. It is important to add that the Hungarian legend reached that tally in only 85 matches whereas Ronaldo had taken more than 150 fixtures to achieve the same incredible feat.
